How to Get the Best Church Cleaning Quote Without Overpaying

Getting a church cleaning quote is easy. Getting a good one takes a bit of preparation. Facilities committees that consistently land fair prices for reliable service share a few common habits — and they all happen before the cleaning company ever walks through the doors.

Know your square footage

This sounds obvious, but many churches give rough estimates. Cleaners price by the space — the more accurate your numbers for the sanctuary, fellowship hall, classrooms, and restrooms, the more accurate and fair your quote will be. Walk the building and know which spaces are included versus excluded (storage rooms, mechanical rooms, unused wings).

Define your scope before the walkthrough

Before inviting providers in for a quote, write down exactly what you need: which spaces, which tasks, how often, and what the non-negotiables are — a spotless narthex before Sunday service, for example. This prevents providers from quoting a stripped-down service and prevents your committee from accepting something that won't actually keep the building ready for worship.
